Generate fill in the blanks questions from any text

Anglonaut is an android app that turns any English text into a fill in the blanks question by randomly removing words from it. The words to be removed and and the number of blanks can be adjusted. These questions can be solved from the app itself. They look like this:

Here, each blank represents a single word. The blanks underlined in gray represent common words like a,an,the, for,to,from etc. (a full list is avaliable if you tap "Tap here for hints"). The blanks underlined in orange represent other words, there are hints below in orange to help you find out what they are. These hints are not in order and they can be in a different form. In this example, "musical" is a hint for "musically".

When you fill a blank, hit Answer to move to the next one. If you hit answer when no blanks are empty, your answer will be recorded and compared with the original sentence.

You can compare your answer with the original phrase in detail. It's up to you to decide if your response was erroneous. There are many cases where you can catch an obvious error, like a spelling mistake or an error in verb conjugation.

If you think your answer is as valid as the original one, fear not. You can ask a LLM (currently GPT-3) if your response is valid by hitting the question mark button. This is a paid feature since AI models cost money. Everything else in the app is free.

You can generate as many questions as you want from the add section.

It's possible to import your app data and save the questions you generated. Get a free account to save your stats.

If you tap on orange hints, they change their color. This is useful if you want to keep track of used hints.
